COPENHAGEN, Denmark – dBTechnologies named Signal Audio as its new distributor in Denmark. Signal Audio is owned by the Matrix Group, which also owns Nordic Staging and Moto Audio Sales. It has been established to serve the rental, installation, live and broadcast markets.
dBTechnologies' International Sales Manager Harald von Falkenstein called the new manufacturer-distributor alliance a good fit. "Our product range is so broad, it's important that the distributor that has a broad contact base to match. We are certainly in a good position with Signal Audio, a company which serves all areas of the market."

Morten Laulund Uldbaek, pro audio sales manager of Signal Audio, credited dBTechnologies for having "already built up a great reputation in Denmark. The Opera Digital series has proved to be immensely popular in the MI market, and both the DVA and DVX ranges have grown quickly in the realm of professional audio.

"With the release of the DVA T12, we now see the opportunity to aim for the higher level of the professional rental and installation market," Uldbaek added. "This high end line array system is fully comparable to the well-established brands that hold a very strong position in our market, and also gives us a great system with which to target large scale rental companies directly."

The first Danish rental company to take delivery of dBTechnologies' newest line array module T12 was Hedensted based DRB Lys & Lyd. The company already owned a T4 system and acquired the T12 in late October, citing the need for greater range and power to serve larger events. The T12 was the logical choice, Lys & Lyd representatives said, because T12 is exactly the same width as T4, and both systems' driver sections are in line so that they generate phase-correct high-frequency additions, allowing T4 to serve as downfill extensions in large systems.

A relative newcomer to the Danish audio industry, Signal Audio has become well-known within Denmark and has also established a dealer network. "Our aim is to represent innovative product lines that represent quality – just like our company," said Lars Bo Baadsgaard, CEO of the Matrix Group. "We have high standards with regard to the products we work with, and look forward to helping the dBTechnologies brand flourish in both the MI and professional markets in Denmark."
