SANT'OMERO, Italy – Proel Group has been named the exclusive distributor for Line6 sound amplification products and effects in Italy.
Line6, based in Calabasas, Calif., is known for its digital guitars and amplifiers, including the AxSys212 guitar amplifier based on digital modeling technology. Line6 is also known for the POD, a bean-shaped device designed to recreate the sounds of classic rock ‘n' roll amp types, cabinet simulations and effects. Line6's other product lines include as pedals, pedalboards and bass amplifiers.
"Proel is the right partner we need for the Italian distribution of Line6 product lines," said Michael Utley, Line6 international sales manager. "In a market environment which is still challenging and yet showing significant signs of recovery, we have finalized this deal in order to bring about a turning point in the marketing of our brand in Italy.
"Our cooperation, which is already proving to be really fruitful, is based on very similar working methods, especially as far as quality and concreteness are concerned," Utley added.
Michele Palladino, sales manager of Proel's Musical Products division, also welcomed the distribution agreement, referring to Line6 a "precious jewel," and crediting the company for its customer service as well.
