Aphex Names Jim Bailey Product Manager

LOS ANGELES – Aphex named Jim Bailey product manager. In his new position, Bailey will oversee the development of Aphex's core line of professional audio and broadcast products, as well as the company's expansion into other markets.
Bailey comes to Aphex after several years as product manager for Avid's M-Audio division. Prior to working with Avid, he was product development manager at Tascam. He is also the former owner of a recording studio.

 

"I've known Jim for many years and had the pleasure of working with him at Tascam, and simply put, there's no better person for this position," said Rick McClendon, Aphex general manager."

 

"Jim was our first choice to head up product development, and we're excited to welcome him on board," added David Wiener, president and CEO of DWV Entertainment, parent company of Aphex. 

 

"There are few brands in our industry more legendary than Aphex, and it's an honor and a privilege to join a company with such a great history," said Bailey. "We've got some great plans ahead, and I'm looking forward to being involved in taking Aphex forward into the 21st century."
