NEW YORK – Multi-platinum recording artist and three-time Grammy Award winner Seal autographed three Sennheiser evolution e 935 Platinum vocal microphones for a charity auction at the 4th Annual Musicians On Call benefit concert and auction. The event culminated at the Hard Rock Cafe New York in Times Square with a headlining performance by Seal.

On top of nearly two decades of hits, Seal was nominated this year for a Grammy Award in the category of "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" for his single "Amazing." His autographed microphones inaugurate the new Sennheiser philanthropic program to donate funds to music industry charities. The mics will be auctioned on the new Sennheiser Web site with links on other subsidiaries' websites in the early spring. Seal's autographed microphones will be coveted by fans and collectors alike and are expected to generate a sizable donation for his chosen charity ⎯ Musicians On Call.

Musicians On Call was founded in 1999 with the mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities to enhance the healing process. To date, their volunteers have played for over 95,000 people. Musicians On Call continues their mission through room-to-room hospital performances by both local musicians and national celebrities, and as well as through their CD Pharmacies and Project Playback programs.

"We are grateful for Sennheiser's generous donation," said Leslie Faerstein, executive director of Musicians On Call. "Our campaign to bring music straight to the bedsides of patients in hospitals would not be able to continue to expand without the donations made at our annual event. It was an exciting night made even more special by a performance by Seal. The impact of this one night has a profound effect throughout the rest of the year improving the health and spirits of thousands of patients one by one, bedside to bedside."

"In addition to being one of our favorite artists within the company, Seal has been a long-time endorser of Sennheiser products, and we're proud to partner with him to benefit Musicians On Call," said Kristy Jo Winkler, Sennheiser's global relations manager for the Americas and Canada. The evolution e 935 Platinum vocal microphone is the first choice for performing musicians because of its rugged design, its ability to gracefully withstand high input levels, and, most importantly, its clear, natural sound.

"Giving back to an industry that is so supportive of our products is a joy," remarked Susanne Seidel, president of global marketing for Sennheiser. "Sennheiser is committed to auctioning signed microphones to raise funds for music industry charities on a semi-annual basis with the signing artist designating the recipient charity."

"The opportunity to get Seal-autographed memorabilia with such unique character as our Sennheiser microphones is rare indeed," she continued. "The truest of fans and most ardent of collectors will come away with the prize, which, in the end, will benefit everyone. So bid early and bid competitively!"
