GREENSBORO, NC — Just for Him Ministries is a faith-based ministry that travels nationally and serves as an outreach program to assist families in need by helping them connect with their local church, and in addition to carrying its own staging and lighting equipment, the organization recently purchased a sound reinforcement system featuring TrueLine line array elements from WorxAudio Technologies. According to Ken MacPhee, CEO of Just for Him Ministries and former stage manager for Benny Hinn Ministries, "Being able to project our message is a huge part of who we are and what we do, so the need for a capable sound reinforcement system goes without saying."
In 2006, Just for Him Ministries purchased their system, which consists of 12 powered TrueLine V10 line array elements. "We took delivery in October," says MacPhee, "and it has really changed the way we operate. I love having a powered system. For starters, we needn't concern ourselves with the hassle of matching the speakers with suitable power amps, and it also simplifies our wiring considerably. The powered V10s create a much more streamlined system. We run six elements per side, and when we need a larger system, we take advantage of WorxAudio's TrueLine networking solution."
"We've worked with Knoxville, Tenn.-based Sound Ventures for some larger venues," said MacPhee. "JR Sanders and his company also have a TrueLine system, so when we've needed more capability, we've worked together. In addition to the V10s, we've added some TrueLine TL.218SS subwoofers to the rig."
The WorxAudio Technologies TrueLine V10 is a three-way line array loudspeaker designed as a compact system for the reproduction of speech and music program material. The V10 incorporates a large format, three-inch compression driver coupled to a stabilized proprietary FlatWave Former. For midrange reproduction, dual eight-inch cone transducers coupled to the (A.I.M.) Acoustic Intergrading Module minimize cone filtering throughout the entire operating range. Twin 10-inch cone transducers in a vented enclosure provide bass. Power is provided by the company's PMD-3 Amplifier Module.
When asked about the V10 characteristics that most appeal to him, MacPhee responded enthusiastically. "I've been particularly impressed with both the throw and the clean, clear sound quality," says MacPhee. We recently worked an event where we where asked to back the system down a bit. When I asked the officer where the complaint was coming from, he responded by saying, 'Some folks about a mile and a half away called us, and from that distance, it sounds just like it does here.' I was surprised and thrilled at the same time!"
