NEWTON, IA — The new 25,000-seat Iowa Speedway, designed by NASCAR legend Rusty Wallace, has been updated with modern speaker technology.
The main audio system consists of 36 Community R.5HP loudspeakers mounted on the wheel fence covering the seating areas. The R.5HP wheel fence system is designed to deliver full-range, high SPL audio in a weatherproof, camera-friendly package that has minimal impact on sight lines. The remainder of the speedway’s sound system includes Community CLOUD4 ceiling speakers covering the indoor lounge areas, while I/O5 and additional R-Series speakers are placed behind the seating and in the parking areas.
Since its opening in August 2006, the Speedway has been well attended and has a full calendar of racing, concerts and other events lined up for this year and beyond.
