NASHVILLE — Allen & Heath and Turbosound have announced a three-day open house event at Soundcheck rehearsal facility in Nashville, Sept. 22–24, 2008. Featuring two iLive Digital Consoles at FOH and monitor positions and flown Flex Arrays, Studio A will be set up to simulate a real-world, large-format live mixing environment. Allen & Heath and Turbosound representatives will be onsite to give hands-on digital console mixing demos.
The event will allow folks to get their hands on Allen & Heath iLive systems and mix a pre-recorded live concert through Turbosound’s new Flex Array. “This is an amazing opportunity,” says Michael Palmer, Allen & Heath’s national sales manager. “We will be able to get people up and running mixing a live concert on the iLive consoles in minutes while they watch the concert on synced video screens on the stage. The users will be able to see the ease of use and flexibility of the iLive digital console and Turbosound’s new Flex Array, one of the only Line array speaker systems that can be quickly converted from a Line source to a point source system.”
Attendees will also be able to check out the iLive’s new v1.31 software and the new System Manager which adds features such as: Onboard RTA, PL remote integration, IEM and Engineer’s monitor channel strip modes.
“Everyone is invited,” continues Palmer, “sound engineers, installers, consultants, integrators, rental houses, facility managers, houses of worship and anyone who can benefit from the amazing flexibility and ease of use of Allen & Heath’s iLive digital consoles. Setting up monitor mixes, DCA groups, effects, matrix mixes, output processing – everything will be covered. Come and check it out.”
