GREENSBORO, NC — WorxAudio Technologies introduces the V8-PMD1 Powered Touring Line Array, a member of WorxAudio Technologies' TrueLine Series. The V8-PMD1 is a two-way line array loudspeaker with integrated power and DSP capabilities, which is designed for a variety of applications, including corporate/industrial theatre, medium concert reproduction, theatrical musical events and A/V production. This loudspeaker incorporates a large-format, 3-inch voice coil compression driver coupled to a stabilized proprietary FlatWave Former (wave shaping device). Dual 8-inch cone transducers are coupled to the Acoustic Intergrading Module (A.I.M.), which is meant to minimize cone filtering throughout the operating range and provide a rich, balanced sound.
Built to withstand the most demanding portable applications, The V8-PMD1's enclosure is constructed from multi-ply Baltic Birch and is braced for rigidity. Outside the enclosure is a multi-layered, catalyzed polyurethane finish that is available in dark gray or black. A 14-guage, perforated, cloth-backed, powder-coated steel grill surrounds the transducer complement. The V8-PMD1 also utilizes black anodized, aluminum TrueAim rigging hardware with 1-degree increments to array the system to the desired coverage area.
Designed for use with the V8-PMD1 is WorxAudio Technologies' PMD-1 digital power amp, which is housed in the rear of the enclosure. Featuring 500 watts for the low frequencies and 250 watts for the highs, this amplifier incorporates twin digital program processors, a mute switch for each output, a detented volume control, an XLR transformer with isolated I/O and AC PowerCon switchgear I/O.
