Dynacord Cobra Celebrates with Charlie Daniels

BONITA SPRINGS, FL — The city of Bonita Springs recently celebrated its seventh birthday with its annual “Celebrate Bonita” free festival, this year featuring headline acts the Charlie Daniels Band and Emerson Drive. Tech-Tronics of Fort Myers, Fl., deployed a Dynacord Cobra system for the event with a ground-stacked horizontal sub arc of 16 Cobra PWH boxes. Five vertically stacked Cobra Top boxes per side were deployed. “We do a ton of work with the Cobra,” says Ted Roepke of Tech-Tronics, “and we got great line array performance and full, even coverage from ground-stacking these boxes for this event — they’re perfect for applications where there are no fly points.”

At FOH, Tech-Tronics used a Midas XL3 console and an all-Klark Teknik compliment of EQs, gates and comps, including a wireless KT Helix EQ system for monitors. Two stock dedicated Cobra drive racks with two Dynacord L2400 amps per side and DSP 244 controllers handled power and processing.

Roepke adds, “This year they had a bigger budget and booked a bigger act, so we scaled up the rig accordingly. That’s the great thing about Cobra — you can easily beef-up or downsize the system depending on your needs, but the setup and teardown is always quick.”
