Donations Sought For Cancer Relief Fund

MCKEES ROCKS, PA–Steve Raslevich of Northern Sound and Light has begun a campaign to raise money to benefit Jim Sidney and Bonnie Patterson of Gourmet PA Systems in their fight against Bonnie's breast cancer. Bonnie, 46 years old, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of this year. Even with medical insurance, the co-pays and non-covered medical costs have already exceeded $20,000.00. "I have known Jim and Bonnie since I moved to Pittsburgh in the late 80's," says Raslevich. "They are genuine folks who have always gone out of their way to help others. Unfortunately, they are now finding themselves facing their own difficult challenges."

While Jim and Bonnie have owned and operated Gourmet P.A. Systems, a "Factory Authorized Service Center" for most products used in the professional sound and lighting industry since 1985, complications of her illness and the side effects of chemotherapy have prevented Bonnie from working. Jim and Bonnie are focused on her recovery and have limited work hours in order to accommodate the frequent doctor and hospital visits.

"My goal is to raise at least enough money to pay for their current out-of-pocket medical expenses," continues Raslevich. "I plan on personally presenting our donation, along with all others we receive, as a surprise to Jim and Bonnie over the Labor Day Weekend. If you have the means and find it in your heart to help, any donation would be greatly appreciated." Checks can be made payable to Bonnie Patterson and/or Jim Sidney and mailed to 'For Bonnie' c/o Northern Sound & Light, 11 Shingiss St, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
