LAS VEGAS —Shure microphones took the stage for a majority of the performances at the 2007 Academy of Country Music Awards. For the event, Randy Faustino was at the FOH mix position, and there were an array of Shure microphones onstage. ATK Audiotek of Burbank, Calif., managed sound reinforcement for the star-studded gathering, supplying Shure UHF-R Wireless mics. In its 42nd year, this annual event brings country music legends and rising stars to the stage to reward their achievements, and, more importantly, to perform for the live audience and those watching the broadcast nationwide. Brad Paisley took home the evening’s award for Top Male Vocalist. Among others present who maintain a place on Shure’s roster of allied artists were Vince Gill, Kelly Clarkson, Martina McBride and Toby Keith. All Shure endorsers performed on the UHF-R Wireless, with the exception of Martina McBride, who opted for her tried-and-true wired SM58.

Beyond the official Shure endorsers present who brought the company’s products into the limelight, other Shure performance moments were provided by Carrie Underwood (UHF-R/Beta 58A), who took Top Female Vocalist honors. Named Top Vocal Duo, Brooks & Dunn relied upon a pair of UHF-R/SM58 for their stage appearance. Rascal Flatts (UHF-R/SM58) took to the stage to perform and pick up the award for Top Vocal Group, while Kenny Chesney, this year’s Entertainer of the Year, opened the evening’s performances on a UHF-R/SM58.

"It is always a pleasure to have Shure microphones at this event. They make my job easy,” stated Faustino.
