FARMINGDALE, NY — beyerdynamic, manufacturer of microphones, headphones and wireless microphone systems, has added the TG-X 930 condenser microphone to its TourGroup line.
Designed for close-micing situations, the proximity effect of the TG-X 930’s cardioid capsule was compensated to obtain a neutral transmission of low frequencies. The mic features a slight treble boost and has a maximum sound pressure level of 150 dB SPL. The TG-X 930 includes a low internal noise level, offering users a high dynamic range.
“Sound quality is a key element to every audio application, but in the case of live performances, durability becomes paramount,” says Paul Froula, beyerdynamic’s Pro Audio Business Manager. “With the TG-X 930, users have the sensitivity and accuracy of a studio microphone that is able to withstand the rugged environments often posed by live performances and touring situations.”
Like the company’s Opus 900 wireless series, the TG-X 930 includes a stainless steel grill with multilayer gauze and a second inner grill designed for protection against “pop sounds.” In addition, the mic grill structure is designed to improve rear-attenuation.
The internal structure of the microphone’s transducer system is designed to provide protection against internal moisture. The turned brass housing of the TG-X 930 comes in matte black or satin nickel-plated finish.
