SIGNAL HILL, CA — ATM Fly-Ware and Harry Donovan have teamed up to conduct regional rigging seminars in 2007 for installers and contractors of permanent sound installations. This course includes both classroom and hands-on work. It covers a range of topics, including acoustics, loudspeaker construction, rigging equipment, rigging methods and basic math and engineering. Seating is limited. The most important element is rigging safety training.
"Since merging Allen Products Company and ATM Fly-Ware in 2005, we have received a constant stream of requests asking us to renew our rigging seminars", commented Paul
Allen, president of the combined companies, "but we wanted to make sure we gave installers the most value in the shortest possible time."
"Partnering with Harry Donovan was the best way to get these installers the maximum amount of training in the least amount of time so they could get back to work faster," continued Allen.
"The idea of developing a class with ATM Fly-Ware specifically geared toward permanent installations is intriguing, because the fixed install professionals really need one place to secure the information geared to their trade", stated Harry Donovan.
Allen related that, "The audio and video installers we serve have a tremendous desire to improve their knowledge of rigging safety, installations, and to be more competitive."
Because ATM Fly-Ware is an NSCA Partner Provider, students holding the EST certification can earn eight Learning Units toward the renewal of their EST certificate.
Students can also earn 12 Learning Units towards the newly created NSCA Certificate of Completion Program in the College of Technical Knowledge.
Due to the course schedule, class size is limited. They are located throughout the USA near strategically located ATM distributors to minimize cost and time away from work.
