SAN FRANCISCO — The SMK4061 Stereo Microphone kit has been designed around a pair of 4061 Miniature series omnidirectional microphones for both live and recording applications, with acoustic piano in mind. Providing an accurate sound quality, the 4061 is also capable of handling sound pressure levels that occur when mounting the microphones in very close proximity…or even directly on the instrument itself.
The SMK4061 kit includes mounting accessories for a range of positioning options. From the magnetic mounts for use on the internal metal work of the piano, to a pair of BLM6000 adaptors, (boundary layer mounts which transform the 4061s into "pressure zone" mics), one can use the SMK system on a piano with the lid up, down or anywhere in between.
