INSTANBUL, Turkey – When the gig is to provide sound reinforcement for more than 150 of the world's best debating teams, you don't want to raise any points of contention about the audio gear. Turkish PA provider Art Production Event Technologies got the last word in with their new iLive system.
Art Productıon's iLive system for the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) at Koç University included an iDR-48 MixRack and iLive-T112 Control Surface, used with an Electro-Voice line array. The soundco also managed a gala dinner, including entertainment from various bands, which was held after the final.
"We love the fact that iLive is so versatile and can be used for any number of applications on our schedule from music concerts to conferences," said Art Productions' Tayfun ÖzdoÄŸan. "The ability to name and color code channels, and the quick copy and paste function for mixes, made set up and operation of the many functions so much easier to manage. The analog-style controls also helped us quickly resolve any live issues, while having local I/O at the surface was great for playing background music during intervals."
