MUMBAI, INDIA — Indian sound reinforcement company Sound.com recently provided a VerTec line array system for the annual Femina Miss India pageant. The event was held April 8, 2007 at the Bandra Kura Complex in Mumbai. “We began our audio careers in search of milestones like these,” said Warren D’Souza, Sound.com’s founder and owner. “Sound.com was proud to be providing sound solutions for Femina Miss India.”
To create this experience, Sound.com provided a combination of VerTec products, including VT4889 full-size line array elements, VT4887 compact line array elements and VT4880 arrayable subwoofers. Additionally, JBL VRX915M loudspeakers served as stage monitors, while JBLVRX932LA loudspeakers provided side fill coverage. The system was powered by Crown IT4000 and IT6000 amplifiers.
D’Souza noted, “A line array system can have all the bells and whistles in the world, but if it does not have good audio quality, articulation and power handling capacity, then it’s not my choice,” he noted.
Based in Bandra, Mumbai, India, Sound.com is a growing full-service audio production company. Specializing in live sound and corporate audio, the company was founded in 1998 and has grown to a staff of 48.
