CUMBRIA, U.K. –Ward Steedsy provided the PA for the Dance Tent, one of the main performance stages for Solfest, a non-commercial music and arts festival staged annually in northwest England.

The lineup using the gear included live acts and DJs – Subsource, The User Friendly, Utah Saints and the Freestylers, among others. The tent was managed with an iLive-112 control surface at FOH. An iLive-R72 was used for monitors, connected to an iDR10 MixRack with a digital mic split via Allen & Heath’s ACE protocol to an iDR0 miniRack.

“For the third year running, we have provided the PA for the Solfest Dance Tent, and for the third year in a row, we have had an iLive at FOH,” said Steven Ward, partner at Ward Steedsy. “This year we upgraded the system to include a digital mic split to our iLive-R72 surface for the monitor engineer, and this resulted in less boxes to transport. Visiting engineers were quick to adapt to the system where the gains are locked during line check to enable each engineer to have +/- 24dB of trim for the gig.”
