SYDNEY — Norwest Productions has joined Adamson Systems’ Energia beta test partners group with the purchase of an E15 beta system to service the Australasian market.
More details from Adamson Systems Engineering (www.adamsonsystems.com):
At the end of 2009, Adamson Systems Engineering embarked on a new project that would possibly change the face of concert touring today. Named Project Energia, it was conceived after years of analysing the inefficiencies found in current sound reinforcement systems and performance venue optimization methods. The first ‘Project Energia’ speaker box to be released is known as the E15.
Energia will eventually become an AVB-compliant networked system using Class D amplifier modules and on board DSP. To make this all possible Adamson Engineering have adapted a 3-phase release strategy to ensure a smooth integration of the technology.
Phase 1 – Mechanical Field Testing
Phase 2 – Class D Amplifier, Power Distribution and Ground Control Field Testing
Phase 3 – Network and Network Hardware Field Testing
To assist Energia’s evolution Adamson Systems Engineering has recruited the help of a few well-known and respected production companies from around the globe. Their job is to conduct mechanical field tests evaluating the transducers, sound chambers and mechanical elements. Some of the companies that have put their hand up include Eighth Day Sound (US), Wigwam (UK), Big Daddy Entertainment (Indonesia), MPM (France) just to name a few.
With the Phase One of Project Energia under way, Adamson along with CMI Music and Audio are proud to announce that Norwest Productions has joined the illustrious group of beta partners with the purchase of an E15 beta system to service the Australasian market.
Chris Kennedy, founder of Norwest Productions who already have a large inventory of Adamson including Y18’s, Y10’s and T21’s, states “Our Adamson Y18/Y10 systems are our flagship premium systems and demand for them is always very strong. This is an opportunity we could not pass up.”
CMI Music and Audio has had quite a success in achieving market penetration since becoming Australian & New Zealand distributors of Adamson, supplying systems to rental companies and facilitating several installations into churches, not least is one of the world’s largest permanent installations at Hillsong Church’s headquarters in Baulkham Hills just outside of Sydney. “We’ve been having a good time with Adamson and are really excited about project Energia” explains Peter Trojkovic CEO of CMI Music and Audio “We are very pleased to have Norwest join the exclusive Beta Partner testing group, as they are huge fans of Adamson and their enthusiasm is contagious” he continues.
Adamson Systems’ founder, Brock Adamson commented on the new Beta partner, “Chris Kennedy and his team at Norwest have worked hard to help build our presence throughout the Asia Pacific region. We hear nothing but great reviews about service, packaging and equipment performance whenever they are involved. There is no question with anyone at Adamson, Norwest is the top choice for an Energia partner in Australia.”
In Phase One, E15 systems have been found around the world on stages with Duran Duran, Bad Religion, Offspring and Linkin Park, just to name a few. Keep an eye and an ear out for out for the E15 during this summer’s festival season in Australia.
