TURIN, Italy – The recently-opened, 41,000-seat Juventus soccer stadium has been equipped with RCF loudspeakers, provided by RCF’s commercial audio department, which was also involved with the audio design for other buildings in the sports complex.
“Being a part of a large-scaled installation and also getting the opportunity to be active in the process from the design drawings is important as a solutions provider,” said Antonio Ferrari, RCF market manager/audio contractor. “This allows you to end up with the optimal result. With the new Juventus Stadium installation, we have added a nice reference that we can use for future stadium projects.”
The stadium used a cluster design that was installed at various sections throughout the stadium. Each cluster consisted of two RCF Acustica H1315WPs – three-way full-range loudspeakers that contain a 15-inch LF transducer, a 10-inch cone MF transducer and a 1.4-inch exit titanium compression driver. The WP is fully weatherproof and designed to withstand weather exposure without damage or loss of function.
The tribune areas of the stadium feature 88 H1315WP loudspeakers installed in pairs. An external playground area has a few more clusters installed.
