FUKUSHIMA, Japan – Rocked by the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and fears of nuclear radiation, Fukushima has become a place linked to disaster and abandonment. The organizers of Project Fukushima staged a music and arts event to counter those negative associations with an expression of hope.
Some 3,000 attended performances by a 300-member free-jazz orchestra that included professional and amateur musicians. Other local artists performed, as did prominent Japanese musicians including Otomo Yoshihide, Michiro Endo and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

RCF, supported by local distributor Ballad Co. Ltd., provided audio gear. The main stage was equipped with eight TTL55-A, four TTL36-AS, two TT22-A, two ART905-AS, two ART410-A, four NX10-SMA and four NX12-SMA. Another stage used eight NXL23-A, eight NXS21-A, two ART525-A and two ART310-A
