Spain Debuts the First European E15 System
TORONTO – Spain became the very first testing ground for the new Adamson "Project Energia" beta launch. Adamson distributor Seesound together with sound provider Fluge arranged the first E15 system in Europe to premiere at the Low Cost Festival in Benidorm, Spain featuring Mika and Ok GO! among many others. The festival held in the end of July, garnered much praise from the local mainstream press which featured various stories on the event itself, and surprisingly on Adamson's choice of Spain for the European launch of the Beta Project. Now ready for a full tour, Fluge is putting the E15's to the test with the Spanish metal band "Los Marea".
Los Marea counts eight full length albums, and a best of album released in 2007. Their current offering "En mi Hambre Mando Yo" maintains its #2 position on the Spanish charts, for the second week since its release in as many weeks. The first single "Bienvenidos al Secadero" has a more melodic and classic feel than their previous albums, and the band states on their website that this is very much their best and proudest achievement to date.
The tour begins in Arnedo, in La Rioja province in the North of Spain on November 5th, and finishes the year on December 30 in Madrid, starting the new year with a date on January 14th in Zaragoza. Their tour then continues to Argentina, Chile and Colombia in February 2012.
El Grupo Industrias Orquestales, the parent company of Fluge is a leader in the Spanish live production market and falls within the top 10 most important full service production companies in Europe. With over 20 years of experience, the group consists of about 150 employees, and their warehouse houses the world's most up to date equipment as the inventory is in constant renewal, with latest offerings from many manufacturers, including Adamson. The company was founded in 1990 and it focused mainly on the sound production of live performances under the name of Fluge. It soon established itself as a benchmark in the sector and began a rapid expansion. The creation of Light CR followed shortly after, providing lighting and visual effects services. In 2000 ASL Light Solutions joined the group, forming the current business structure. In 2009, after providing lighting equipment, sound and video for all the official forums for the Expo Zaragoza, the Orchestral Industries Group established new headquarters in Barcelona and Zaragoza, becoming the official supplier of exhibition centers in both cities.
In August of 2008 Adamson appointed Seesound based in Barcelona as their exclusive distributor for Spain. Nacho Alberdi, the company's CEO and his technical team have since steadily increased Adamson's market share in Spain both in touring and in the Installations sectors. Given the global economy, the result of Seesound's work has been nothing short of remarkable. Getting one of Spain's most important vendors on board as an Adamson user first with the Y-Axis Line, and now bringing them on board as Europe's very first Project Energia Beta Tester is an achievement and important move for both Adamson and Seesound. Alberdi comments: "My admiration for Adamson systems began long ago. After seeing Adamson build their own Kevlar drivers and growing their line with the launches of SpekTrix and Metrix series, I was sure that Adamson was the right choice. After three years of working together, we have positioned Adamson systems as a standard for all audio professionals in Spain wanting to move to the next level. When I listened to the first prototypes of what would later become the Project Energia, I knew right away that it would be a future bench-mark for big tours and the pro-audio industry. This summer we listened to the beta system at the Low Cost Festival (Benidorm, Spain) with the British artist Mika performing, and our expectations were absolutely surpassed."
