COLOGNE, Germany – Italian speaker specialist dBTechnologies marked the sale of the 10,000th DVA T4 unit, three and a half years after the DVA series was launched.
dBTechnologies called the DVA T4 was the most successful of its products to date, and credited its success on the product's ability to bring the line array concept, previously only available to high profile projects, down to an affordable level.

"With the DVA series, dBTechnologies has supplied exactly what the market demands: light weight, well-priced boxes, which don't scrimp on technology and materials," said Harald von Falkenstein, European sales manager.

Using plastic housings with 420 Watts of digital amplification coupled to RCF neodymium speakers, the DVA T4 weighs in at an astonishing 13.2kg. Apart from the obvious advantage for handling and transport, this also makes flying possible where under normal circumstances the trussing may not be strong enough. An Array of six T4 therefore weighs less than 100kg – just another of the many reasons behind the success of the range.

"Our advantage is in the flexibility of the system: you can use it as a ground stack, you can use it flown – it's a tremendously versatile line." dBTechnologies extends the range with the launch of a further two DVA subwoofers at the Pro Light & Sound exhibition this month.

"The sales speak for themselves," concludes von Falkenstein. "There are not many loudspeaker manufacturers that can boast these figures."
