BRASILIA, Brazil – Projesom has equipped the 400-seat SESC Gama theater with a Midas PRO6. The venue, which opened in April, hosts a variety of productions, from plays to rock concerts.
"Three years ago we installed a Midas Verona 480 for the same client in another theatre," said Ruslan Viana, Projesom's chief audio engineer, "but it was time to take the step forward to Midas digital. It has been a great success."

"Everyone has been impressed with the user-friendly controls, the flexibility and durability of the system, and, of course, the Midas sound," said Amos Miranda, Projesom's chief electrician on the project.

Projesom also installed four Klark Teknik DN1248 splitters alongside the PRO6 to further enhance the theater's audio capabilities.

Projesom, which has been operating for close to 30 years, will also provide on-going training and support for the theater's in-house engineers. Viana was recently accredited as a Midas-qualified trainer at the company's U.K. headquarters.

Projesom owner João Carlos Wilbert credited the logistic and technical support of Midas' Brazilian distributors Teleponto for making the deal possible. "We look forward to many more projects using these quality products, backed by great service."

Projesom has already begun work on the 900-seat SESC Palladium Domus Artium theatre in Belo Horizonte, where a Midas XL8 will be installed at FOH and a Midas PRO6 as a stage monitor console. That theater is due to open in October.
