Luminex Network Intelligence, a manufacturer of data distribution equipment for pro lighting, audio and video applications (focused mainly on the entertainment industry) will unveil its new GigaCore 10t AV Ethernet Switch at the 2023 LDI show, booth #319.
Housed in a rugged half-rack chassis and designed for touring applications, GigaCore 10t has two threaded M10 inserts for easy mounting, and is available with both a 10Gb option and a PoE++ option on all ports.
According to Luminex founder/CEO Bart Swinnen, “this new model is designed for pro AV touring applications, and with its ruggedized connectors and a large option of also ruggedized fiber optic connector types, GigaCore 10t deals with all possible challenges of live entertainment applications.”
Swinnen added that GigaCore 10t “comes with all the features for which the GigaCore family is well known in the professional AV market. Together with its siblings — the GigaCore 20t,18t and 16t — it marks the completion of our touring grade GigaCore family, a range of pro AV Ethernet switches.”
Other features include pre-configured Quality of Service (QoS), IGMP multicast, and PTPv2 settings to assure a responsive and stable network environment for time-critical audio protocols such as Dante, AES67, Q-SYS and others. Additionally, AVB/Milan is supported out of the box on the management group (VLAN) and can be activated on other groups as well. GigaCore 10t can also operate simultaneously with PTPv2 applications in a converged network on multiple groups (VLANS).
