TT+ Audio’s GTX touring concert system continued to demonstrate its road durability and performance with intense rhythms, this time at the Baila Conmigo Festival, one of the largest Latin festivals in the U.S. The festival also brings an exploration of art, engaging activities, food trucks and relaxation zones for festival attendees.

Handling production for the show was 4Sound, a full-service audio/visual production company based in Miami. Founded nearly 20 years ago, starting with just a few speakers in a garage, 4Sound has grown into having a warehouse full of premium sound, lights, LED screens, staging and generators.

At the festival venue, Miami Marine Stadium, the RCF USA team was on-site with 4Sound Group, noted as one of RCF’s first customers in the United States, to support a deployment of a TT+ Audio GTX 12 line array system.

Speaking about the TT+ GTX 12 — a 3-way, dual-12” all-neodymium design — is 4Sound’s owner / operator Joaquin Gonzalez: “The [GTX] system is so powerful, when you reach that level of power to avoid distortion, you feel the SPL with clarity and efficiency everywhere — it’s amazing.”

In its current configuration, the GTX touring systems are all powered by RCF XPS power amplifiers featuring the latest rev of RCF’s proprietary system software RDNet 5 (v5.3). “For the touring world, GTX is not only fast and easy to hang when the motors are ready, but with RDNet and the [XPS] amplifiers, it’s a brilliant system — also very fast. For touring, from transport to cabling, there are plenty of options with this brand,” continues Gonzalez.

The all-TT+ Audio system for the event included: 24 (12/side) GTX 12 main left/right arrays; 18 GTS 29 dual-19” subwoofers; three GTX 10 employed as front fills; two hangs of six TTL-33A side fills (each with a TTS-36A subwoofer); 10 TT25-SMA stage wedges, and 17 TT+ Audio XPS 16KW power amplifiers to drive the system. Four Yamaha CL5 digital consoles handled FOH and monitor mixing and Shure Axient Digital wireless mics were employed for vocals.

Throughout the day’s performances, several FOH engineers sat in for their first experience with the GTX system, including three-time Grammy winner Waldy D, (Pedro “Waldy” Dominguez), FOH engineer at Miami’s Wave Sound Studios. “My team works with many artists in South Florida on different systems, says Dominguez. “The GTX system was a pleasure — like hearing the best qualities of top brands mixed into one system. A sweet natural sound, uncolored, plenty of punch, easy on the ears — it’s everything in one box. I am very impressed.”
