TORONTO, ONTARIO–Canadian Music Hall of Famers, The Tragically Hip, showed why they have become Canadian rock legends at four consecutive sold out dates on their latest North American tour, putting Adamson true line source arrays to use for the gigs. Complete production was provided by Towers Productions based in Toronto, Canada. The shows took place between June 17th and June 24th. Artpark in Lewiston, NY played host to the first show, GRCA (Grand River Conservation Authority) in Guelph for the second, and the last two were held at Historic Fort York in Toronto.

For the current Ministry world tour, guitarist Tommy Victor and bassist Paul Raven are relying on the EV RE1 wireless systems to get the job done.

BARNEGAT, NJ–In 2000 when Bayside Chapel in Barnegat, New Jersey was making plans for a new church building, Bayside's technical director Bob Seibel put in a call to consultant Tom Young of Electroacoustic Design Services in Oxford, Connecticut. Six years later, the church completed the long journey of fundraising, breaking ground and construction by installing a new sound system featuring Danley Sound Labs loudspeakers which went live in June 2006.

OLD LYME, CONNECTICUT–Sennheiser Electronic Corporation has appointed David McNutt as industry team leader, installed sound. McNutt will be responsible for all aspects of marketing and distribution to the installed sound channels. In his new role, McNutt will liaise between Sennheiser's U.S. headquarters, the factory, and the marketplace with regard to product development, distribution strategy, channel and marketing communications, and strategic growth initiatives. He will additionally work to establish and maintain strong relationships with the key channel influencers.

WILSONVILLE, OR–Audix has announced the release of the VX-5, a hand-held vocal condenser microphone. With a frequency response of 40 Hz – 16.5 kHz (plus or minus 3 dB), the VX-5 features a 14mm gold vapor diaphragm, a supercardioid polar pattern, a -10 dB pad and bass roll-off filter, a specially ported steel mesh grill screen, and the Audix trademark black satin finish. Operation requires phantom power of 9-52 volts.

WENDEN, GERMANY–After long runs in the theatres of Cologne, Düsseldorf and Bremen, "Saturday Night Fever" has set off on tour, premiering at the Bremen Musical Theatre, the first of a total of 44 performances in 11 cities this year.

BURNSVILLE, MN–Acoustic Control Sound and Lighting Professionals of Bangalore, India recently completed a line array loudspeaker installation in India using the Electro-Voice XLCi. The installation at Christ College Auditorium, Bangalore, also features EV amplification, monitors, RE2 and PolarChoice wireless microphones and Dx38 processing.

DEVON, UK–MC2 has developed a revised front panel for its T Series amplifiers; they now feature a perforated panel which give the amps a fresh, contemporary look, reflecting the 'family' design of MC2's other amplifiers more closely. The previous anodised finish has also been altered to a painted one, making the T Series more easily color matched and therefore a co-ordinated appearance across an entire equipment rack much easier to achieve.

BERKELEY, CA–Meyer Sound has appointed Frank Martin to the newly created position of installation sales manager at the company's office in Polch, Germany. In his new post, Martin assumes responsibility for sales and support for the installation market throughout Germany, as well as in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland.
