Shakira Fixated on JBL for Oral Fixation Tour

ISTANBUL, TURKEY – Demonstrating JBL Professional VERTEC line arrays, audio company Altincizme Sound & Light Systems supported international pop star Shakira’s concert in Istanbul, Turkey, as part of her “Oral Fixation” tour. The tour, in support of Shakira’s album of the same name, began in June 2006 and included major concert events presented to sold-out audiences in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Central and South America.

Radio City Music Hall Installs Dolby Lake Audio System

NEW YORK – Radio City Music Hall, a New York City landmark for 75 years, has installed 11 Dolby Lake Processors. The processors are being used for zone control and optimization of a newly installed JBL VerTec sound reinforcement system as well as existing under-balcony speaker, front fill and Dolby movie surround networks at the prestigious 6,000-seat, multi-purpose, indoor theatre.

Goo Goo Dolls Switch to VENUE on Worldwide Tour

DALY CITY, CA — The Goo Goo Dolls have been touring the world since the band released its 2006 album, Let Love In. At the tour’s audio helm is Engineer/Mixer Paul Hager, who previously worked with Avril Lavigne, Pink and The Donnas, among others. Hager was attracted to the Digidesign VENUE live sound system due to its Pro Tools integration, and eventually got the band to switch to VENUE for the tour.

RentalPro provided a NEXO GEO S8, CD12 front-of-house PA and a PS Series stage monitoring system. Dave Matthews Performs at Radio City Music Hall with Meyer Sound

NEW YORK — Grammy-winning rock vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews joined guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Tim Reynolds for a short summer tour of three theatre dates, which culminated with an intimate acoustic set at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.
