SEATTLE, WA – Symetrix named Jeff Sondermeyer director of engineering and chief technology officer. Prior to Symetrix, Sondermeyer worked for nearly 20 years at different companies including Peavey Electronics, Mackie Designs and Analog Devices (ADI). At ADI, where he served as as senior field apps engineer, Sondermeyer helped Symetrix integrate ADI's Sharc and Blackfin chips into Symetrix products.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Auralex Acoustics, Inc. named David Fischer as its CEO. Prior to Auralex, Fischer was executive vice president for Origins Holdings, Inc., which makes home furnishings and cabinetry, overseeing sales, marketing, product development, finance and operations for the American market.

OLD LYME, CT – Sennheiser named Greg Beebe president of Sennheiser Electronic Corporation in U.S. and named Markus Warlitz general manager of Sennheiser Latin America, effective Jan. 1, 2012. The announcements follow on the heels of other restructuring announcements the company has made for the Americas, including the recent appointment of John Falcone as head of Sennheiser's business in the Americas.

NATICK, MA – Genelec Oy named Siamäk Naghian, pictured here, managing director and Nick Zacharov director of research and development. Ilpo Martikainen, chairman of the board of Genelec Oy, made the announcement.

NORTHRIDGE, CA – Harman's Studer named Michael Franklin senior sales manager in the U.S. Franklin's primary responsibility will be to help drive sales of Studer digital consoles in the broadcast market throughout the country. Prior to Studer, Franklin worked with Solid State Logic and spent more than 13 years with Euphonix.

STOW, OH – Audio-Technica promoted David Marsh director of sales and marketing, Installed Sound & Broadcast. Marsh will be responsible for managing and directing all sales and marketing activities within the Installed Sound and Broadcast markets. Since joining Audio-Technica in 2000 as a customer support representative, Marsh has been promoted to positions including assistant regional manager and territory manager.

STOW, OH – Audio-Technica named Doug Swan director of sales, MI/Pro Audio. He will be responsible for the overall management of the MI and Pro Audio channel within Audio-Technica, working with A-T's internal sales force and independent manufacturer representatives.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA – American Music & Sound named Chris Cairns marketing director. Cairns, a drummer/writer/producer who has also worked in live sound reinforcement, brings more than 20 years of experience as a vendor to companies including Young Chang, Kurzweil and Kawai Piano.

CHESTER, PA – Community Professional Loudspeakers named Thomas Mittelmann director of business development, Asia-Pacific. Mittelmann, who most recently worked with Powersoft, has also spent years with Lab.gruppen developing sales in Asia; his position there prompted his relocation from Germany to Singapore in 2007. Prior to that, he had spent eight years with Community, handling the company's European sales.
