OLD LYME, CT – Sennheiser promoted Alexander Schek to vice president sales, Latin America. In his new position, Schek will be responsible for Sennheiser’s sales strategy across each of its business lines, while managing the company’s area sales managers within the Latin American region. He will report to Markus Warlitz, general manager, Latin America.

VANCOUVER, BC —  Radial Engineering Ltd. promoted Steve McKay from sales manager to export sales manager, a new position. The company also hired Roc Bubel as sales manager.

MILAN, Italy and HONG KONG – Faital SpA named Andy Liu sales development manager in China for FaitalPRO, the company’s professional audio division. Liu previously handled pro-audio account sales in the Guangdong area of China. Working with both Faital in Milan and Faital Asia in Hong Kong, he will be responsible for all FaitalPRO accounts in China, working with audio wholesalers, retailers, enclosure manufacturers and OEM partners.

WEBSTER, NY — Ashly Audio named Gary Jones central regional sales manager, a new position. Jones, who has nearly 30 years of industry experience, will manage Ashly’s independent rep firms throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and western Pennsylvania.

EDINA, MN — Movek LLC, manufacturer and distributor of myMix personal monitoring systems, has named Kevin Madden national sales director. Prior to Movek/myMix, Madden served as the US distributor for Innovason consoles and, prior to that, he spent several years in sales, product or marketing management positions as well as technical positions at CAD/Omnitronics, AKG Acoustics and JBL Professional.

NORTHRIDGE, CA – Harman named Paul Shorter technical services manager for its Soundcraft, Studer and AKG brands. A 22-year veteran of the pro audio industry, Shorter joined Harman in 2009 as field applications engineer, specializing in support for the Soundcraft and Studer digital console ranges. In addition to his new position, Shorter continues as an active field engineer throughout the continental U.S. and provides technical sales support.

LAS VEGAS — Timeless Communications named renowned editor, author, lecturer, musician, audio installer and FOH engineer George Petersen the new editor of FRONT of HOUSE magazine, effective immediately. Petersen, the former editor of Mix magazine, pledged to take FOH to the “next level.”
