PRETORIA, South Africa — After almost a year of assessing digital mixing consoles, Hatfield Christian Church in Pretoria recently took delivery of four DiGiCo SD8s.

BRUSSELS — The Belgian national basilica, the Basiliek van Koekelberg, is Belgium’s largest church and the world’s fifth largest basilica. As such, it’s used for big national ceremonies and services with international significance.

LONDON — Lars Brogaard, FOH engineer for Lionel Richie’s Just Go tour, is using a newly-purchased DiGiCo SD7 console — but not for the first time. Brogaard helped beta-test the SD7 and was the first engineer to take a D5 console on tour.

ROME — Mister X, the Italian production company handling Sabina Guzzanti’s satiric Vilipendio tour across Italy, is using a sound reinforcement system including a Proel Axiom Compact and AX1115SP subwoofers for the front and side stage. They are powered by Powersoft K-series amplifiers and Proel digital processors. EDGEC65P speakers reinforce sound for the first rows of the audience.

BRISTOL, U.K. — The Wills Memorial Building may have been built with centuries-old design features into its exterior, but it has been recently updated with a 21st-century audio system featuring Martin Audio’s OmniLine micro line arrays.

CARACAS, Venezuela — Grupo Zonico supplied an audio system using JBL Vertec line arrays for a tour date here on the KISS 35 Alive World Tour. The show was staged outdoors at the 10,000-seat Estacionamiento de la Rinconada.

PUNTA DEL ESTE, Uruguay —In the last few years. D.A.S. Audio has seen a significant growth for concert festivals in Uruguay, and its sound systems have been featured in some of the country's largest events. Two recent examples are the Punta Rock and Pilsen Rock music festivals.

TEL AVIV — Britannia Row Productions acquired a third Midas XL8 Live Performance System so that it would have two on hand to support Depeche Mode’s Tour of the Universe, which is about to get underway in Israel. The first Midas XL8 continues to support the world tour for Oasis.

MACAO, China — Having renovated the small auditorium at the Macao Cultural Center in 2006 with an Arcs system, L-Acoustics’ Chinese distributor, Rightway Audio, has now installed a new Kudo line source system into the venue’s Grand Auditorium.

LONDON—When the producers of the Thriller Live musical arrived at the Lyric Theatre in London, they found themselves faced with the challenge of isolating a wireless radio frequency within the heart of London’s theatre district. They relied upon Shure and the Joint Frequency Management Group (JFMG) to provide the solution.
