VIAREGGIO, Italy — Happy Sound Service is using Proel equipment at the Viareggio Beach Stadium for more than 20 music and sporting events involving 800 performers and 250,000 attendees, with network TV coverage including several live broadcasts.

LONDON — This year, the iTunes Festival was relocated to The Roundhouse in North London with over 60 artists playing live at the free event, which ran throughout July.

DELHI, India — Yogesh Dhawan of Dhawan Electricals Pvt. Ltd. used a Soundcraft Si3 digital mixing console at FOH for Fete de la Musique, part of World Music Day with the Alliance Francaise de Delhi. The festival was presented through the 64-input Si3 and other Harman products including a dbx 4800 system controller, JBL VRX932LA, SRX728S and SRX712M loudspeakers, and Crown I-Tech IT4000 amplifiers.

LONDON — The 20-show Take That Circus tour was among the biggest the U.K. and Ireland had ever seen, with over a million people attending. Capital Sound was the soundco, with technical director Ian Colville designing the system with FOH engineer Gary Bradshaw and system technician Al Woods using a combination of DiGiCo, XTA and Martin Audio gear.

PARIS — L-Acoustics KUDO loudspeakers were recently deployed for the International Paris Air Show, which took place at Le Bourget airport. This year marked the event’s centenary, attracting 360,000 visitors to the daily flying demonstrations, vintage aircraft and new aerospace technologies.

GOA, India — Distributor Dhanashree Electronics Ltd. has been helping the German pro audio brand HK Audio make inroads in India. Dhanashree recently sold rental firm Aeros Sonic two HK Audio Projector systems and HK Audio F.A.S.T. active monitors.

GUANGZHOU, China — A video posted on the Web site, ChinaMusicRadar.com, showed Taiwanese singer Pan Yuwen performing onstage, adjacent to a multi-tiered scaffolding structure supporting lighting and audio gear. The video captures the sudden loss of power to stage elements, followed by chaos as the scaffolding adjacent to the stage falls over the crowd.

LA LIMA, Honduras — Mega Audio recently supplied the audio reinforcement system, including a Soundcraft Si3 digital console, for a concert commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Evangelical Reformed Church of La Lima in Honduras.

LONDON — In 1978, Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of the War of the Worlds made its debut. This year, The War of the Worlds — Alive On Stage paid homage to Wayne’s Worlds in arenas around the UK and Europe. RG Jones, meanwhile, supplied a Synco by Martin Audio-based sound system for the touring spectacle.

WUXI, China — A $200 million Buddhist temple that opened here in May was the culmination of a multi-year construction and interior design effort in cooperation with the Chinese Association for Buddhism.

JOHANNESBURG — Gearhouse South Africa supplied sound and crew for R Kelly’s first visit to South Africa. After five days of production rehearsals at Sun City Superbowl, there was one show there and another at Cape Town’s Grand West Casino.

LONDON— With bands ranging from Oasis, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol to Newton Faulkner and Bat for Lashes, sound engineers Dave Roden at FOH (here deployed as system tech) and Will King used digital mixing environments where incoming engineers could hit the ground running.
