BEDFORDSHIRE, U.K. — Cadac Holdings, Ltd. announced the death of Mark Ray, 49, on Nov. 9 during a visit to New York. Ray, who had fronted Cadac's sales and marketing activity around the world for nine years, died from a heart attack.

DONETSK, Ukraine — Jazz-Club Service purchased the first Midas PRO6 console in the Ukraine from local distributor Cortmi Ltd. The rental company first used it for the Ukrainian tour of Russian singer Grigoriy Leps, and, more recently, a 40-date tour across the Ukraine by Russian pop singer Philipp Kirkorov.

LONDON — Midas has supplied a PRO6 live audio system to the BRIT Performing Arts & Technology School in Croydon, South London. The PRO6 was purchased as part of an upgrade to the main performance space, which hosts gigs, contemporary dance, theater, musical theater, art exhibitions and awards evenings. It will also be used for mini tours around the country.

FOH Engineer Uses DiGiCo SD7 for Fiorello Performance

ROME — FOH engineer Hugo Tempesta used a DiGiCo SD7 console to mix a live performance by Fiorello in a 2,500-seat venue. The performance, which was recorded, was edited down to a 30-minute package and beamed out in prime time by Sky Italia Satellite channel the following evening. Highlights were also transmitted every Sunday.
