OSLO – Promoting Foot Of The Mountain – their first album in four years – the Norwegian pop band A-Ha has spent the autumn touring venues throughout Europe and Japan with a DiGiCo SD7 at FOH and an SD8 on monitors.

LONDON – Adlib Audio is supplying English 2-tone/ska band The Specials with sound equipment and the crew. Tour manager Mike Darling chose Adlib, based on previous assignments with Ibiza Rocks and other projects. Adlib crew members included James Neale and Richy Nicholson.

OSLO – In preparation for President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech and related music events, the sound system at Oslo City Hall was upgraded with Allen & Heath digital mixing and audio distribution systems and a low-profile Renkus-Heinz Iconyx IC32 Digitally Steerable Array system.

POTTERS BAR, U.K. – Soundcraft Studer recently produced and tested the first Studer Vista large-format consoles on its new U.K. production line, which has taken on manufacturing for Vista, OnAir 3000 and Router production formerly done in the Studer Regensdorf facility near Zurich in Switzerland.

LONDON — Monitor engineer Nahuel Gutierrez has been using a Midas PRO6 live audio system for the Noisettes’ U.K. tour.  Having previously spent 15 months with its big brother the XL8 on the final Oasis world tour, Gutierrez found the transition to the PRO6 an easy one.

LONDON — The 15-date Snow Patrol Reworked tour of the U.K. and Ireland recreated songs from the band’s 15-year career with a dual Midas XL8 system at front of house and monitors, provided by Britannia Row. As the shows featured six band members, 10 musicians and special guests, all 96 channels of each desk were full to capacity.
