ESBJERG, Denmark – The Performing Arts Centre ("Musikhuset") draws 150,000 visitors annually to events ranging from Rock ‘n' Roll concerts, theater, ballet and opera. But until recently, it lacked a medium-sized venue for theater.

VIENNA, Austria – AKG donated nearly 100 wireless microphone systems and handheld microphones in support of the 2010 Life Ball, held in Vienna, Austria. The event is held annually to help raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

LONDON – Midas XL8s played a pivotal role at three of the UK's biggest outdoor events of the year as London's Hyde Park hosted the BBC's Proms In The Park, BBC Radio 2's Elvis Forever tribute and Pope Benedict XVI's Evening Vigil.

MELBOURNE, Australia – Jands Production Services provided the audio setup for recent productions of Fame the Musical, West Side Story and Hairspray, with Michael Waters serving as theatrical sound designer. All three productions used Shure UHF-R Micro Bodypack Transmitters (UR1M).

KATOWICE, Poland – Krakow-based Prosound and FOH engineer Daniel Schindler supported Riverside, a headliner for the Metal Hammer Festival, with a Midas PRO6 live audio system. Prosound provided all the audio gear for the event, which also featured a performance by Korn.

BRIDGEPORT, Barbados – Quality Sound Inc. (QSI) provided sound gear from D.A.S. Audio for the thousands who turned out for Crop Over, a five-week summer festival.

LEEDS and READING, U.K. – Liverpool-based Adlib Audio supported the NME/Radio 1 stages at the Reading and Leeds festivals this year. The brief for these tented venues included the provision of sound for outdoor areas left, right and to the back of the tents, and for the standard system inside as well.

AMSTERDAM – The Red Bull Air Race has been awarded with the IBC Innovation Award at this year's IBC convention. The "Content Creation Award" recognized the Red Bull Air Race's use of fiber-based distribution of all communications and HD video and audio content via Riedel's MediorNet technology.

MARINA DI PIETRASANTA, Italy – A sound system that included Axiom and Powersoft gear played a supporting role in the production of the rock/pop musical, Rent, that brought this year's La Versiliana Festival to a close.

DORSET, U.K. – Void Acoustics supplied sound gear for Windfest 2010, an extreme sports festival sponsored by Animal, the clothing retailer. The three day event returned to Dorset for its 12th consecutive year and attracted over 10,000 visitors.
