DUBAI, UAE – The Dubai International Swim Stadium, an 18,000-seat aquatics venue within the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Sports Complex, has been equipped with audio gear from Renkus-Heinz.

LONDON – Rental company APR Audio, road tested several combinations of Allen & Heath's iLive digital mixing system throughout the company's busy summer events calendar. APR selected iLive systems – ranging from the flagship modular iDR10 MixRack with iLive-144 and 176 Control Surfaces, to the fixed I/O iDR-64 and 48 MixRacks with iLive-T112 and R72 surfaces – to manage various festivals and corporate events.

ANTIBES JUAN-LES-PINS, France – The annual two-week International Jazz a Juan Festival, held beachside in southern France each summer, this year featured performances by Herbie Hancock, BB King and Santana, among others. The festival, organized by Jean-Rene Palacio, artistic director of the Societe des Bains de Mer (SBM), relied on DiGiCo's SD10 digital console for both FOH and monitor positions.

BEIJING, China – The Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, located in Qianmen Dongdajie, Chongwen District, is a four-story building that provides an overview of Beijing's past and future. Display cases, photographs, light boxes, sculptures and a detailed miniature model of the city are displayed. A 3D multimedia auditorium was built on the top floor, featuring some of the world's largest 3D screens.

ZUSHI, Japan – Otodama Sea Studio has offered summer visitors a range of live beachside performances ranging from jazz, rock, hip-hop, rap and classical guitar since 2005. For this season, One Systems' Japanese distributor, M&N Company Ltd., designed and installed a system using One Systems gear.

LAUSANNE, Switzerland – The 14th edition of the World Gymnaestrada drew close to 20,000 participants from 55 nations to the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise in mid-July. Martin Reich used a Studer Vista 5 SR console supplied by Skynight SA to mix the opening ceremonies and produce a feed for live television.

MINSK, Belarus – MLK Sound provided an RCF TT+ audio system for the various competitions that were all part of the 27th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships held May 25-29. Along with the spectators attending, the events were broadcast live around the world.

SANTIAGO, Chile – The 875-seat, $22 million Teatro Municipal de Las Condes is home to the first Meyer Sound Constellation acoustic system in South America. The audio system includes 41 compact UPM-1P and MM-4XP loudspeakers for mid-high frequencies and six UMS-SM subwoofers.

MEXICO CITY – Speed Audio has been making good use of the DiGiCo SD8 digital mixing console it acquired in late 2009. The soundco has used it on major tours for Spanish artist Shaila Dúrcal, Israel's Shiri Maimon, Mexico's Kalimba, composer Carlos Cuevas, Pepe Aguilar, Susana Zavaleta, Pablo Montero, Argentine Queen tribute band and, for two consecutive years, with Mexican Christian community Mega Frater, along with a variety of corporate events.

PERTH, Australia – Vizcom Technologies recently integrated a VerTec subcompact line array system at the 575-seat Heath Ledger Theatre, part of the Theatre Centre of Western Australia. The VerTec system was sold through Jands, Harman's Australian distributor.

DUBLIN, Ireland – It's unusual enough to find a pair of identical digital consoles congregated in monitor world, let alone a trio. But that's what happened when The Script headlined a concert at Dublin's Aviva Stadium recently. Three Soundcraft Vi6 digital consoles could be seen in the stage wings; they were used to support The Script, The Coronas and Tinie Tempah.

LONDON – Ghost, the 1990 movie, has been reincarnated as a West End musical. It blends live acting and music with complex lighting, video and special effects. The show's sound designer, Bobby Aitken specified a DiGiCo SD7T for FOH, and it's being used for a lot more than just mixing sound.
