Renovated Indiana Amphitheater Features VUE al-Class Line Array System

FISHERS, IN – The Nickel Plate District Amphitheater reopened in July with a new VUE Audiotechnik sound system. Local event booker and production manager Bob McCutcheon oversaw the audio overhaul with support from Sound Image and Mid-America Sound for the venue, located northeast of Indianapolis. The system includes two hangs of eight al-12 elements per side, with eight al-4 elements for front fill and four hs-221s subwoofers, all driven by VUE’s v3 and v4 VUEDrive systems engines.

PLSN/FOH/Parnelli Golf Classic Set for Oct. 18, 2018

LAS VEGAS – Old pros and golfing newbies are invited to tee up at the 2018 PLSN/FOH Parnelli Classic, set for Oct. 18 at the Rhodes Ranch Golf Club in Las Vegas this fall. It’s a great way to meet and network with the current leaders of our industry. The three teams with the lowest scores will be awarded trophies, and the one team with the highest score won’t go home empty-handed either. As per tradition, they’ll get tennis or badminton racquets.

Thunder Audio Provides DiGiCo-Driven L-Acoustics System for Logic’s Summer Tour

ST. LOUIS, MO – Bolstered by the momentum of his chart-topping album release (Everybody, released May 2017) and mixtape (Bobby Tarantino II, released March 2018), rapper/musician Logic, who has previously opened for Kid Cudi and co-headlined with G-Eazy, embarked on his own tour this year, which ran from June 8-Aug. 3. Thunder Audio provided an L-Acoustics K1/K2 system for the “Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody” tour, with DiGiCo consoles for control. FOH and monitor engineers Darcy Khan and Dane Tarmann are both using DiGiCo SD7 consoles.

Fyre Festival Organizer Pleads Guilty to Additional Charges for Bogus Ticket Sales

NEW YORK — Billy McFarland’s Fyre Festival, originally set up as a two-weekend event in the Bahamas in late April and early May 2017, ended up costing 80 investors close to $26 million. Ryman Auditorium Installs Two New Yamaha Rivage Digital Audio Consoles

NASHVILLE – Nashville’s 2,300-seat Ryman Auditorium recently purchased two Yamaha Rivage PM7 Digital Audio Consoles. The venue’s FOH engineers, including Les Banks and Kevin McGinty, are pleased with the upgrade, and both are taking advantage of the PM7’s on-board Premium effects, Silk feature and Dante networking capabilities. Clair Solutions installed the consoles.

Sound Image Deploys VUE Systems for San Francisco Pride Celebration

SAN FRANCISCO – Sound Image San Francisco supported 11 of the 20 stages at the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Rally held June 23 and 24, using its entire inventory of VUE Audiotechnik gear for seven of the 11 stages, including the main stage located at the steps of San Francisco’s City Hall. The annual event celebrates the energy and diversity of the LGBTQ community.
