MACAU – For Leehom Wang’s Descendants Of The Dragon 2060 tour, which brought the artist to fans throughout China last year, the Taiwanese-American singer-songwriter, actor, producer, and film director performed with a mix from Scottie Baldwin, who used a Yamaha CL5 Digital Audio Console, Rio 3224-D2 input/output units, and Yamaha SWP1 Dante switches for the challenging production.

Raid in China Catches Factory Making Counterfeit Audio Products – Again

NILES, IL – Shure noted that a police raid on a factory in China last fall turned up counterfeit audio goods branded as Shure, Sennheiser, Yamaha and Harman sound gear. Shure added that the counterfeiting company, Soundpu, is a repeat offender. It was fined by the Enping AIC in Aug. 2018 after counterfeit Shure wireless mics were found at their factory during a raid last April.

L-ISA Chosen for New Opera, Dionysos Rising, in Italy

TRENTO, Italy – For a new opera, Dionysos Rising, at Teatro Sanbapolis in Trento, Italy in January, Roberto David Rusconi turned to L-Acoustics’ L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal technology to optimize the listening experience within the 838-seat venue. The 15.1 L-ISA configuration consisted of five X12 enclosures for the scene system across the front of the stage, ten X8 for the overheads and surrounds, and two SB18 subwoofers flown centrally above the audience. Five LA4X amplified controllers drove all the loudspeakers.
