ZZ Top Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Tour with L-Acoustics

School District Near Austin, TX Upgrades Three Theaters with DiGiCo Desks

AUSTIN, TX – The Lake Travis Independent School District turned to Austin-based Big House Sound for an assist with an audio upgrade for three theaters, and the soundco provided DiGiCo SD-Range consoles for the different performance spaces, including a 1,500-seat concert hall (SD7), 250-capacity black box theater and 275-seat recital hall (SD9 for each).

Karrie Keyes to Receive Parnelli Audio Innovator Award

New Sanctuary for New Orleans Church Equipped with L-Acoustics Kara(i)

NEW ORLEANS – For the new 3,500-seat sanctuary at the relocated Franklin Avenue Baptist Church (FABC), Mankin Media Systems designed and installed a long-throw L-Acoustics Kara system. The setup includes three hangs of 11 Kara(i), six floor-stacked KS28 subs plus arrays of four SM18i subs flown next to the left and right Kara hangs. Two short throw X8 extended-bandwidth loudspeakers provide frontfill, while a pair of medium throw ARCS Wide speakers flown behind the SB18i serve as choir monitors.
