Meyer Sound’s 33rd Year at Montreux Jazz Festival Includes Debut for ULTRA-X40 Point Source Loudspeaker

MONTREUX, Switzerland – The Montreux Jazz Festival wrapped up 16 days of music-making on July 13. For the 33rd consecutive year, Meyer Sound was selected as the festival’s Official Sound Provider, with LEO Family line arrays flown in all three principal venues. Meyer also provided scaled-down systems (two of which were anchored by the new ULTRA-X40 point source loudspeaker) at the smaller venues.

The Green Rocks Red Rocks Amphitheatre with dLive

MORRISON, CO – The Green, a Roots reggae and indigenous Hawaiian band, performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Denver-based IPG Tech provided two dLive S5000 control surfaces and two DM48 MixRacks with fibreACE and Dante audio networking cards to cover FOH and monitor mixing along with multitrack recording duties for the show at the 9,000-capacity venue. Princess Cruises Welcomes L-ISA Onboard

SANTA CLARITA, CA – Princess Cruises deployed L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound on two ships in the fleet, their Diamond Princess and Sun Princess ships, with an assist from L-Acoustics certified provider Norwest Productions. The frontal Scene systems for both ships use five arrays of six Kiva II ultra-compact modular line source speakers across the width of the stage. These are augmented with ARCS WiFo cabinets to widen the panorama with an Extension system, along with two SB18 subwoofers.
