ALMERÍA, Spain – In a normal year, the Almería City Orchestra performs its Christmas concert in a cathedral that was built in 1524 to serve as both a house of worship and a protective fort against pirates. To allow for social distancing, the concert moved to a modern auditorium. But organizers used a d&b Soundscape system to recreate the sound experience of the fortress cathedral.

Cinema Teatro Lolek in Italy Equipped with Outline Sound System

REZZATO, Brescia — An oval theater at the center of the Cinema Teatro Lolek that gets used as a theater, cinema and event and exhibition space for indoor and outdoor gatherings has been equipped with three Vegas 15 CX enclosures and two Eidos 118 S subwoofers. The Outline audio components are powered by three Outline M2008-4 amplifiers.

In Memoriam: Rupert Neve, 94

WIMBERLEY, TX – Rupert Neve, winner of a 1997 Technical Grammy Award for lifetime achievement for his pioneering designs for pro audio recording gear, died Feb. 12. Through companies including Neve Electronics, AMS Neve, Focusrite and Rupert Neve Designs, Neve’s innovations were sought after and put to use by top recording artists and studios around the world. Neve, a U.K. native who moved to Texas in 1994, is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Evelyn, along with five children.
