Crest Audio's Pro-LITE 3.0 and Pro-LITE 3.0 DSP power amplifiers are designed to be efficient and light in weight with high power and stable performance into 2-ohm loads. Their advanced, high-speed class D design with a switch-mode power supply promises to increase reliability, thermal efficiency and output power while keeping weight to a minimum. They each offer 870W per channel at 4 ohms stereo (up to 3,150W bridged at 4 ohms), weigh 13.3 lbs., and run in parallel, stereo and bridged modes. The power supply also lets them deliver perform with low frequencies and at 2-ohm operation.

Movek's IEX16L-A 16-channel input expander offers two 8-channel digital inputs utilizing the common ADAT format, allowing 16 audio channels to be streamed in 24-bit, 48kHz into a myMix system. The IEX16L-A has an additional 16 analog line-level channel inputs which can be switched in blocks of eight, allowing the use of either 16 digital, 8 analog and 8 digital, or all 16 channels in analog. Since the number of myMix system devices is unlimited, one can set up 160 input signals using any combination of IEX16L-A or local myMix inputs.

Lexicon's compact, energy-efficient DD-8 Multi-Room Amplifier, an eight-channel amplifier with DriveCore amplifier technology, is now shipping. It delivers 1,000W – 125 watts into each of its eight channels. It measures 1.7" H (one rack space) by 17.3" W by 14.9" D and weighs 9.2lbs. The DD-8 uses Harman's new DriveCore amplifier IC chip, co-developed with Texas Instruments Inc., with a high level of component integration into an IC that is smaller than a postage stamp, reducing power consumption, heat production and the need for a fan. MSRP: $2,500.

Checkers Industrial Safety Products has updated its Guard Dog five-channel cable/hose protectors with four through-holes (with an inside diameter of .21") that can be used for temporary mounting with either nails or screws. The cable/hose protectors have also been updated with pry slots under each through-hole to simplify removal when the cable protector is fastened down. If the user's application simply requires increased traction on smooth surfaces, an optional rubber pad kit is also available.

Outline's Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. iMode Line Array powered speakers, based on the company's COMpact Polar Adjustable Sound System technology, incorporate Outline's advanced iMode technology with a streamlined, compact cabinet design, well-suited as a small- to medium-sized system for touring or fixed installations.

Juice Goose's iP 1520 web-based power controller provides remote power control to six receptacles grouped into three individual Power Pods. Each of these Pods can be turned on and off individually from anywhere users can find web access.

Waves Audio's MPX Master Tape plugin was developed in association with producer/engineer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Kiss) as part of an ongoing series of collaborations. The MPX Master Tape plugin is modeled on a rare machine consisting of an Ampex 350 transport and 351 electronics. With adjustable tape speed, bias, flux, wow and flutter, along with noise parameters, the MPX provides comprehensive control over the contours of any sound. Waves has also added a flexible slap and feedback delay, well-suited for rock, dance, dub and other styles. For recording, mixing, mastering and more, MPX promises to bring the richness and warmth of real tape saturation to any DAW setup.

Peavey's IPR 3000 power amplifier, which follows the company's IPR 1600, has a new advanced switch-mode power supply, high-speed class D topology, provides 1,490 watts RMS per channel @ 2 ohms (840 watts RMS x2 @ 4 ohms) and weighs 7.9 lbs.
