PreSonus is now shipping new and improved versions of two of its classic tube preamplifiers: the BlueTube DP V2 (pictured here) and TubePre V2 (pictured on the jump page/below).

Along with its new GTO-SUB, which completes the GTO (Grand Touring Outline) series, Outline is featuring an assortment of new subwoofer models at Frankfurt this week. The others include the FLYSUB 15 iMode Powered subwoofer, with a long-stroke 15” loudspeaker (designed for the reinforcement of the low frequencies of the Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. vertical line array);  the FLYSUB 15 passive subwoofer (designed for use with the new EIDOS 265 LA passive vertical line array); the DBS 18-2, a passive sub with two 18” long-stroke loudspeakers; the DBS 18-2 iMode, a powered version of the DBS 18-2; and the EIDOS 108 S, a passive subwoofer that’s part of the EIDOS series. PreSonus announced new features for StudioLive series digital mixers including QMix, Smaart Engine Technology and QMix for iPhone.

QSC Audio Products’ CCN32 CobraNet Audio I/O Card, which enables system bridging between Q-Sys and a CobraNet legacy platform, is now available. The card can provide 32 I/O channels when installed in a Q-Sys Core and 16 I/O channels when installed in an I/O Frame. Designed specifically for those customers who have an existing CobraNet system installed, the CCN32 promises to serve as a cost-effective and seamless means for a phased approach to bridge between the legacy system and the advanced technology Q-Sys platform.

Peavey Commercial Audio’s  Impulse 261, a high-output, two-way permanent installation loudspeaker system designed for commercial and residential applications, promises controlled coverage with a hi-fi character through its two 6.5-inch woofers and 1-inch neodymium-loaded, titanium dome tweeter mounted on a waveguide. The Impulse 261 loudspeaker system is protected from overload by independent overload protection for the woofer and the tweeter, and its crossover network is designed to provide clear, reliable sound reproduction.

Lynx Pro Audio’s ADP-12S subwoofer joins the company’s ADP Series. The ADP-12S is a high output, self powered (Class D switch mode power supply) direct radiation sub bass. It uses a 12” neodymium transducer with double spider for improved linearity, is DSP-controlled with 1000W amplification and delivers a peak 134dB SPL.

Waves Audio’s InPhase plugin, now shipping, has been developed to correct phasing issues between tracks. Phasing can cause drops in volume and wreak havoc on frequency response and stereo image; InPhase promises to gives user a comprehensive tool to correct such problems.
