RCF adds to its 4-PRO Series of active speakers, which feature digital onboard amplifiers and DSP, Baltic birch ply enclosures, aluminum handles, pole mounts and integrated top/rear fly track rigging points. The 4PRO 5031-A has two 15-inch woofers and a 1-inch exit compression driver on a 60° by 90° constant directivity horn, driven by 600W RMS of power. The 4-PRO 3031-A is similar, but with a single -15 configuration, like the single-12 4-PRO 2031-A. Smaller yet is the PRO 1031-A, which packs 400W RMS, a 10-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver, yet delivers 131 dB peaks.

A free app from the iTunes store lets users of the popular JoeCo BlackBox Recorder or BlackBox Player (24- or 64-channel) remotely control all transport functions (Play, Stop, Record) from an iPad, as well as access the BlackBox menu structure for changing settings. The JoeCoRemote also provides an accurate metering overview for the BlackBox Recorder and can be used to remotely control/edit BlackBox Player playlists, as well as remotely trigger playlists during shows, theatre performances and themed entertainment.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Bose Professional Systems Division has expanded its range of RoomMatch array module loudspeakers with 22 new models with horizontally asymmetrical coverage patterns. Building upon the innovative designs pioneered by the Bose engineering team, with the addition of these asymmetrical array modules, the RoomMatch series now includes 42 unique coverage patterns providing system designers with unprecedented coverage control and scalability for venues including houses of worship, auditoriums, performing arts centers and sports arenas.

RCF’s SUB 8004-AS is designed to offer ample low frequency with a high power, hyper vented 18” woofer, with 4” inside/outside voice coils. The unit is powered by a 1250W digital amplifier module and its input board includes volume control, deep/punch switch, high pass switch, phase switch, cardioids and time delay controls.

FaitalPro announced the addition of three new ferrite woofers, including an 18″ woofer (18HW1070), a 12″ woofer (12FH530), and a 10″ woofer (10FH530). FaitalPro is also now offering an improved version of their HF144; the new model is the HF146. FaitalPro also now offers a neodymium version of the HF107; the new model is called the HF106.

Aviom is pledging to expand iOS support in 2014 for the company’s new A360 Personal Mixer, pictured here.  Aviom’s new D800-Dante A-Net Distributor and D800 A-Net Distributor both provide a communications pathway between A360 Personal Mixers and iOS devices connected via an Ethernet WiFi router. New iOS apps promise to build on that connectivity with an expanded array of features and functions.

The collection includes Waves’ C4 Multiband Compressor for dynamic equalization and tone-shaping; Renaissance DeEsser to control sibilant “ess” and “shh” sounds; H-Delay to create depth and movement; and Renaissance Reverb for space and atmosphere.
