Westone Music Products announced a new removable cable option with the Westone UM2 and UM3X, set for release in May 2010. The new development will give users the quick option of replacing cables as necessary.
The sound and components provided by both the UM2 and UM3X will remain the same with the removable cable versions. The original hard-wired design will still be available.
The new removable cable versions will have updated packaging offering new and additional accessories. Each unit includes a "fit kit" with a selection of 10 universal eartip options. A zippered carrying pouch, 1/8" to 1/4" plug adapter, a wax cleaning loop, and inline volume control complete the package.
