Sensaphonics announced that the 3DME Custom Tour, its next-generation Active Ambient™ IEM system, is now shipping. The system adds the isolation and comfort of custom-fit, soft silicone in-ears to the advanced signal processing features of the ASI Audio x Sensaphonics 3DME Music Enhancement system. The dual-driver IEMs feature a balanced, neutral sound that can be tuned to personal preference via Bluetooth control, and embedded microphones to capture and add stage ambience to the monitor mix.

3DME Custom Tour is the only custom-fit IEM system with patented Active Ambient technology, using reliable MEMS microphones embedded in the IEMs to capture room sound with immersive 3D directionality. The ambient sound is added to the monitor feed via the system’s compact, USB-rechargeable bodypack mixer, at levels controlled by the user. This allows the artist to hear the stage and audience at their preferred levels with both earpieces safely in place.
The rugged, subcompact bodypack also houses signal processing, including a 7-band stereo graphic equalizer (EQ) and stereo limiter, with a battery life conservatively rated at 7 hours. Setup and control are done via Bluetooth, using the system’s free ASI Audio app, making 3DME the most powerful, flexible IEM system on the market.
The ASI Audio app provides setup and system control via Bluetooth. Compatible with both iOS and Android devices, the app enables the user to adjust the EQ, set the limiter threshold for safety, and save preferred settings to a library for future recall. Left and right channels can be joined in stereo or adjusted separately. The app also enables unique 3DME functions like the Sensaphonics Audio Seal Test to ensure proper fit, and one-click conversion to CROS operation for those with full unilateral hearing loss.
