SAE Audio, Ltd. celebrates its 15th anniversary with the new PQM 4-channel amplifier series. The amps use a Class-I (“infinity”) topology, said to offer a Class-AB sound with the efficiency of Class-D. Specifically developed for the PQM series, the output circuitry can continuously work even with 2-ohm loads, thus delivering up to 2,500 Watts per channel on the PQM13 and 1,600W/channel on the PQM8.
The front panel features gain knobs, LED meters and indicators for clip, mute, protection, VHF and thermal modes. Inputs are XLR; outputs are Speakon; and the SMPS power supply can deliver full output, even under fluctuating AC conditions.
