Riedel Communications' Artist 1100 Series OLED control panel expands on Riedel's integrated displays in the panel keys with high-res color OLEDs. With 65,000 colors and a resolution of 140 dpi, the new displays improve legibility, particularly for Asian characters and logos, with up to eight 24×24 pixel images that can be displayed.
Definable marker colors for the keys complete the labeling options for function identification and signalization, e.g., for incoming calls.
The panel provides individual rotary encoders to adjust the listen level of every talk key; five dedicated function keys; a built-in loudspeaker with improved audio quality and higher volume; an XLR headset connector; and a removable gooseneck microphone. There are three GPIs and three GPOs available for system-wide programming, two sets of balanced line level audio inputs and outputs and an expansion slot for future technology developments.
Both BNC and CAT-5 connectors allow for an entirely digital connection to the matrix via AES. The second audio channel of the AES signal allows the panel to transport broadcast quality audio in addition to the intercom application – particularly well-suited for commentary positions.
Designed with an integrated power supply, the panel consumes 50 percent less power than the 1000 Series and less heat as well.
