QSC Audio Products' new KLA Series Active Line Array System joins the company's K Series and KW Series with similar user interfaces and sonic performance characteristics, letting the K Family models be mixed and matched for installed sound, rental and portable PA. Available in black and white, the KLA Series includes the KLA12, a 12-inch, 2-way, line array element (pictured here) and the KLA181 an 18-inch direct radiating subwoofer.
KLA12 is an 18-degree fixed-arcuate line array element allowing installers to create a 90 by 90 degree array with using only five KLA12 enclosures. Other KLA Series features include Ar-Q (Arcuate Equalization) tuning and configuration and the SOLO (Single Operator Logistics) rigging system.
All the K Family models feature:
- Efficient 1,000W Class-D amplifier modules (up to five K Family products can be used on a single 15A/120V circuit)
- Extensive DSP featuring DEEP and Intrinsic Correction
- Directivity-Matched Transition (DMT)
Additional features for installation include:
- Integrated M10 fly-points
- Yoke Mounts for the K Series 2-way models
- Automatic standby after 5 minutes
- Remote individual or daisy-chain gain control via simple, rotary 10k Ohm potentiometer
