Audient's eight channel ASP2802 console, launched at MusikMesse 2010 in Frankfurt, combines analog features with DAW integration and control and includes Audient's Dual Layer Technology.
The ASP2802 fully integrates with the computer system, enabling the user to switch between the analog layer – the traditional mixer path traveling through the console – and the DAW layer within the computer session.
The ASP2802 also features motor-fader automation with control of multiple tracks and a compact design that houses a fully functioning master section based on the design of the ASP8024. The ASP2802 also shares the same mic preamp topology and bus compressor design.
Despite 28 inputs at the mix stage – achieved using the Alternate switch for an extra input per channel, 8 summing inputs and 2 stereo FX returns – the ASP2802 is priced moderately.
