Event Details
For two decades, UNLV’s annual College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame gala has honored many of the entertainers performing shows the Las Vegas Strip. But 2024 was the first year where the annual gala itself took place in a Strip venue. The April 2 event marked a 20-year milestone and took place at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas’ 2,800-to-3,800 capacity theater, which opened in December with a Meyer Sound Panther system. The gala honored magician David Copperfield, the late Shecky Greene and composer Keith Thompson, among others. Along with UNLV’s award-winning jazz ensemble and Santa Fe & the Fat City Horns, the event featured guest performances by Clint Holmes and others.
